Heroin seized at airport

There's been a major drug seizure at Hamilton's airport.

Custom's officials confirm that they found 360 grams of heroin within a shipment of paper and nylon lampshades from India last week.

It was concealed between wooden strips that had been glued together and is valued at almost 150 thousand dollars.

The heroin seizure brings to 1.7 million dollars, the total value of illegal narcotics intercepted so far this year at Hamilton's Munro International Airport.
