Building owner remains a no show
He's still a no show.
Authorities are still trying to get in touch with the owner of two properties where barrels containing possible toxic substances were uncovered last month.
They were found on Hess Street North and Catherine Street North.
Dave Maden has until August 25th to respond to clean up orders from the Ministry of Environment.
If he hasn't responded by then, the Ministry says he could face charges.
City officials say he has also ignored their orders to hire an engineer for the Hess Street site.
They want to be able to tear down part of the building.
It means the city has hired its own engineer and will bill the owner.
