Police release sketch of suspicious fertilizer buyer

Police are no closer to finding a large quantity of potential bomb-making fertilizer apparently bought under false pretences in Niagara last month.
They have now released a composite sketch of a man who bought the ammonium nitrate May 26
Insp. Gord Sneddon of the Integrated Security Unit says the man told the farm-supply store he was buying the agricultural fertilizer for a regular customer.
Sneddon says that was a lie.
Police say they have no evidence of any link between the purchase and this month's G20 summit in Toronto.
But at the same time, they say they are worried about the missing fertilizer.
The RCMP anti-terrorist unit has taken over the investigation into a mystery man who recently bought about 1,500 kilograms of fertilizer — an amount they say is enough to make a bomb.
Police say the man, who is about 50 years old and white, walks with a slight limp and is missing two fingers on his right hand. His identity remains unknown.
The investigation into his identity is now in the hands of the RCMP’s Integrated National Security Enforcement Team.
