A Hamilton woman forced to drive a carjacker into east Hamilton last night has her car back, thanks to a bit of Blackberry technology.Hamilton police said a man got in the passenger side of the 28-year-old woman’s car at a plaza at Mohawk Road East and Upper Wellington Street before 10 p.m. and told her to drive him home. When she said no, he told her he had a gun.The woman drove the man down to a Hasty Market on Queenston Road. The bandit let her out of the car and roared away with her 2007 vehicle and her Blackberry.Police said the woman called her husband and went home in a cab before calling police.Staff Sergeant Gary Thompson said the Blackberry was turned on and the GPS technology built into it allowed police to rapidly narrow the search for the car to a one-kilometre-square area.“We flooded that square around Barton Street and Kenora Avenue and there (the car) was,” said Thompson.
