Phil McCausland still believes there are big rocks from last fall's spectacular meteorite in the fields of Grimsby.
And the University of Western Ontario scientist figures he has a two- to three-week optimum period to find them.
"Winter is over and the ground is laid bare. So it is possible now to see things on the ground quite readily and the spring growth hasn't caught up yet. The next while will be excellent for searching."
It is also an opportunity to go through crop fields before planting is done.
