On voting day, the weather has been unseasonably warm and the skies over Hamilton have been uncertain, much like the municipal campaign itself.
Today, voters across the city are making individual decisions that will form the collective answer to the biggest question of all: who will be mayor for the next four years?
In individual wards, there is one certain outcome for the acclaimed Robert Pasuta in Ward 14, many near-certain outcomes for popular incumbents, and a handful of true races for seats on city council.
Nowhere is that more true than in downtown Ward 2, where Councillor Bob Bratina opened up the seat by running for mayor, creating a vacuum that drew in 19 candidates, a field even greater than the number running for the mayoralty, where 15 names are on the ballot.
