The Hamilton Tiger-Cats pounded the Montreal Alouettes 40-3 at Ivor Wynne Stadium before a crowd of 23,118.
Hamilton opened the scoring 8 minutes into the opening frame, when Sandro DeAngelis connected on a 24 yard field goal.
That score was set up by a Jamel Richardson fumble, which was forced and recovered by Hamilton’s Markeith Knowlton.
Then, with just over three minutes left in the first, Jamall Johnson hit Montreal’s Anthony Calvillo, knocking the ball loose, and Stevie Baggs ran the fumble back 80 yards to give Hamilton the 10-0 lead. That was Baggs second fumble recovery for a touchdown this season.
