Hamilton police say the death of a 51-year-old man whose bloodied body was found in an idling car over the weekend was not criminal.
Autopsy results have led police to believe it wasn’t a homicide, and that there was nothing criminal in his death, said Staff Sergeant Ian Matthews.
More information is expected later this afternoon.
The man was found in a Red Ford Mustang at 4:40 a.m. Sunday, after neighbours complained about an idling car on Tisdale Street South.
Neighbours told police he had blood on his face.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by a coroner.
Police believe the same car had been the subject of a complaint around 2:30 a.m. about a middle-aged man seen staggering along the sidewalk on Steven Street, before getting into a red Ford Mustang.
The neighbours said the man had blood on his face and drove away southbound on Steven Street. He was gone when police arrived.
