Ottawa gives local mosque $25,000
It's not what they had been hoping for.
But officials with the Muslim Association of Hamilton say they've been given 25-thousand dollars in federal funding for security.
They had applied for 50-thousand dollars for a state-of-the-art security system and the city's largest mosque.
The federal government promised funding, a day after an attempted firebombing at the mosque earlier this month.
