No charges for 'rock throwers

Hamilton police have arrested four young rock throwers atop the same bridge from which someone was hurling rocks that smashed a truck's windshield early Monday.

The four were arrested at noon Monday for trespassing on the CP Rail bridge over the Red Hill Valley Parkway, south of King Street East. They are boys age 11, 12, 14 and 15.

Police do not believe they were connected to the earlier rock throwing which damaged a truck and injured the driver as well as scratching and denting two other vehicles at 12:30 a.m. Monday.

A uniform patrol officer in the area spotted the four atop the overpass throwing things over.

They ran when police approached but were found huddled under one end of the bridge.

After the kids had been rounded up, officers determined they had been dropping rocks into Red Hill Creek which runs beside the parkway below, not on the road itself.

Sergeant Terri-Lynn Collings said the boys were handed over to their parents after a stern lecture.

No criminal charges will be laid.

Once again, these stupid idiots are let off with a slap on the wrist!! Do they realize what could have happened if they decided to throw the rocks at cars???? I hope they get grounded for life!!!
