Cross-dressing robber on the loose

Hamilton police are hunting a cross-dressing bank robber.

The unfashionably dressed bandit struck two downtown banks last week. On Aug. 10, he walked into the Desjardins Credit Union on King Street East.

Wearing a long brown wig and a blouse, he approached a teller and gave her a note saying he wasarmed with a gun. He escaped with an undisclosed amount of money.

Three days later, he hit the Teachers Credit union on James Street South and made off with cash.

The robber is described as white, 5'7"-5'8", with  a medium build and is in his mid 30s.
