On this day in Hamilton - 1960 - Niagara Falls Ontario - Roger Woodward survives 162 foot plunge over the Horseshoe Falls because he is wearing a lifejacket; his first word when rescued is 'gosh'; the 7-year-old is the first person to go over the Falls by accident and live.
