Local hockey parents getting a break?
A possible break for Hamilton hockey parents?
City councillors will consider increasing the subsidy for minor hockey today from the current 50% to 57%.
City staff also want ice rental rates for next season set at 110-dollars an hour, up 9% from last year.
Despite the increases, local taxpayers would still pick up 4.7-million dollars to cover Hamilton's minor hockey costs.
