Truck rollover blocks 403 ramp

BURLINGTON - A tractor trailer has toppled off the access ramp from the QEW to Hamilton-bound Highway 403, landing on its side.

The rig rolled on its side at the bottom of the ramp at 6:45 a.m., effectively blocking access from the QEW northbound to 403 heading into Hamilton.

The crash is causing headaches for Toronto-bound traffic as rubberneckers in the eastbound lanes slow down to watch the action on the other side of the highway.

Police, fire crews and an ambulance are on the scene although there are no reports of serious injuries.

There is, however, a large amount of diesel fuel spilled over the end of the ramp which will have to cleaned up.
