Many cats are going to be put down if more of them aren't soon adopted from the Hamilton Burlington SPCA.So, the agency says is repeating an urgent appeal to the public.It's asking you to adopt a cat to make room for more at its shelter on Nebo Road.CEO Jim Sykes says the SPCA doesn't perform euthanasia on animals, but the city's animal control department will start putting down cats to deal with the over population.The head of adoptions and animal care says they need the community to step up and be part of the solution at this critical time.As an incentive, the SPCA will be offering a free six month supply of cat food along with every cat adopted.
