Green condo going up in Milton

When it comes to the environment, it sounds like the future is now in Halton.

A developer is billing his new condo apartments in downtown Milton as a first in Canada.

George De Sylva says his new green building will produce enough surplus wind and solar power to cover all operating costs, meaning buyers won't have to pay monthly condo fees.

De Sylva says the project will exceed the environmental performance of his company's first eco-friendly project, the Appleby Woods condo in Burlington.
