Six Nations Police are asking for the public's help after they say a child was kidnapped and managed to escape before being brought home safely by a Good Samaritan.
Police said the incident started when a 12-year-old boy was taken from a residence between 10 and 10:30 p.m. Saturday by "an unknown male."
The child then ended up in a dark-coloured SUV-type vehicle like a GMC Jimmy, but managed to flee at the corner of Fourth Line and Onondaga roads. Police said the vehicle may have had to stop because of oncoming traffic.
It's not known how far the intersection is from where the child was allegedly nabbed.
