Teenage Girl stabs younger sister

A teenage girl appears in court today after her younger sister was stabbed in Simcoe, south of Brantford.

A 14-year-old was charged with assault with a weapon after provincial police were called to a residence around 3 p.m. Friday.

When they arrived, paramedics were already on scene treating a 13-year-old girl for stab wounds.

She was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Police allege the girl was attacked when a verbal altercation escalated.
