An archeological recovery team has been called in after the discovery of human bones on a construction job in Brantford.
The team was brought in from York Region after Brad Armstrong, a contractor, had a human skull fall to his feet while taking apart a shed.
Armstrong also found what he believed to be leg bones in the shed.
Det. Sgt. Rodney Fraser's team specializes in investigating shallow graves, found bone fragments and skeletons.
Fraser couldn't say yesterday how long the officers would remain at the scene and wouldn't speculate on what they might find.
"There's a lot of science, a lot of documentation, preservation and presentation of evidence."
Formed in the mid-1990s -- largely as a result of an interest of one the police service's officers -- the team has grown to include six officers.
