NHL sets Friday deadline for finding local Coyotes owner

The NHL has asked for four days to find a local owner committed to keeping the Phoenix Coyotes in their desert den of Glendale, Arizona.

And in a brief presented to an Arizona bankruptcy court, the NHL says if a local owner can’t be found by Friday the league will look for other potential owners, including Waterloo billionaire Jim Balsillie, to buy and relocate the club for the 2010-2111 season.
