Tire-slashing spree idles 60 cars

SIMCOE – The OPP are hunting someone who slashed tires on 60 cars in Simcoe.

OPP Constable Mark Foster says the damage started in the Good Humour (Breyers) parking lot Friday night and continued early Saturday through a municipal lot at the corner of Culver and Argyle Streets to the west side of town near Robinson Street and Elgin Avenue.

Some cars had one tire cut, others two or three. Damage is expected to be well above $10,000.

Police are asking anyone who has not reported damage to their car to contact them at 1-800-310-1122.
