Great, let the pollutants roll out once again. Thought this might be the end. Perhaps it still will be. Change must come to this city!

Let me make a relevant case here: In 2007, Forbes magazine named Pittsburgh, once also called "THE" US Steel Town, now the 10th cleanest city, and in 2008 Forbes listed Pittsburgh as the 13th best city for young professionals to live. The city is consistently ranked high in livability surveys. Pittsburgh added jobs in 2008 even as the national economy entered a significant jobs recession. In 2007, Pittsburgh was named "America's Most Livable City" by Places Rated Almanac. Furthermore, in 2009, Pittsburgh was named most livable city in the United States and 29th-most-livable city worldwide by The Economist. This positive economic news is in contrast to its recent history, when Pittsburgh lost its manufacturing base as those jobs moved offshore.

While the city is historically known for its steel industry, today it is largely based on healthcare, education, technology, robotics, financial services and a vibrant arts scene. The city has made great strides in redeveloping abandoned industrial sites with new housing, shopping and offices. With great civic leadership they embraced, supported and grew the arts community that which now thrives in this former industrial polluting wasteland. With such vision, the opportunities to those that choose to make them were highly motivated to make the change.

The city can be broken down into the Downtown area, the Golden Triangle, several historical neighborhoods and a newly developed waterfront. SOUND FAMILIAR?
