Police on the lookout for rusty plates

It's the next phase of a year long safety compaign from Hamilton Police.

The next couple weeks will see officers focus on vehicle equipment safety, as it relates to the highway traffic act.

That means police will be looking to make sure drivers have 2 license plates, ensuring they're clean, not rusted out and unobstructed.

Warnings will be handed out this week but a zero tolerance approach will kick in next week.
