Running brawl leaves three injured

A running battle between two groups in north central Hamilton  left three people with gashed heads and possible stab wounds.

Police say it started in Memorial Park at Beach and Depew around 10 p.m. Thursday when a man was hit over the head with a rock and an empty liquor bottle.

The victim gathered up several buddies and chased his attackers, only to come out on the losing end a second time.

“The guy got beat up a second time,” said acting Staff Sergeant Chris Wills this morning.

Finally, about a hour and a half after it first started, the groups clashed at Leinster and Dunsmure, where police found three people with gashes on their heads and stab wounds.
