Police say a 20-year-old Hamilton woman was ripped from sleep and sexually assaulted in her bed early Thursday morning.
The woman was asleep in her Main Street West apartment when a man entered through an unlocked balcony sliding door around 5 a.m., said Hamilton police Detective Sergeant Chris Kiriakopoulos.
"The young woman was sexually assaulted while still in her bed and she was quite traumatized. She managed to flee into her roommate's bedroom, but recognized the man."
