A Hamilton police officer has been cleared of any wrongdoing in the shooting of a 18-year-old man this past winter.The Special Investigations Unit determined William Beckingham was carrying a handgun when he jumped from his vehicle in February after being pulled over by members of the guns and gangs unit.SIU director Ian Scott says the subject officer had reasonable grounds to use lethal force in the circumstances of this incident."
