Close to 1,000 fans cheered on Burlington’s Muzammal Nawaz in the feature bout of a professional kickboxing card held at the Sherwood Forest Park dome on Saturday night.
Nawaz, who owns four world championship belts in kickboxing, won a 10-round, majority decision over American Shannon Hudson in the feature bout.It was the first sanctioned kickboxing program held in Ontario in a decade.There were two other matches Saturday. In the semi-main event, London’s Brad Fowler registered a fourth-round TKO over Albuquerque, New Mexico’s Ben Acosta in a scheduled eight-round welterweight bout.
