Wall collapses at Burlington construction site; workers injured

On Saturday around 3:23 p.m., a cinder block wall collapsed at a 10 unit townhouse complex that was under construction in the area of Plains Road West and Edgemoor Ave in Burlington. 

Three workers were working on top of scaffolding, constructing a cinder block wall on the second floor of a unit. For unknown reasons the cinder block wall collapsed on top of them. The weight of the wall caused the second floor to give way which resulted in the three workers falling along with the cinder block debris to the main floor.

The three victims were transported to the Hamilton General Hospital and are listed in stable condition.
