Bodies found in Ancaster field

A man and woman are dead after their bodies were found in a field on Saturday afternoon in Ancaster.

Police were called to a field on Paddy Greene Road, between Jerseyville Road and Powerline Road, at around 5:30 where they found the bodies of 61-year old Ingird Hutt and 79-year old Helmut Roessler of Hamilton.

Two guns were also found near their bodies.

Investigators say they believe they know what happened to the pair, but have yet to release that information and have not called it a murder-suicide.
