In Major T-ball teams provided some great action at Edwards Park on Tuesday and Thursday night.
The Blackadar Continuing Care Athletics played a stellar game against the evenly matched Metro Red Sox. Player of Game for the Athletics went to William Sinclair for his two home runs.
Also noted for their efforts at bat and on the field were Kealan Kane-Schwartz and Derek De Gelder. For the Metro Red Sox, Daniel Hassel smacked a two-run double and Andy Young sped around the bases. Wesley Perusini made a great throw from the outfield and Gwen Ryder beat out an infield hit for a timely RBI. Conrad Palleske had unassisted triple play, plus he and Parker Seidlitz hit big home runs again. Player of the Game went to Joe Morgan for an all-around great game — hitting, base running, a great glove and super team spirit.
The J. B. Marlatt Funeral Home Orioles took on the Procor Yankees and came out with their bats blazing, led by Walker McKelvey with a grand slam and Kevin Rorie with a triple and a double. Defensively, with a short bench, the Orioles were outstanding with great plays by Devon Curtis and Ryan Gombocz. Justin Larsh of the Yankees flashed the leather and hooked up with Jordan Cale for great outs. Justin Giordano showed some great speed on the bases.
