Randy Steele Loses Courageous Battle With Cancer

Tributes are pouring in for Randy Steele.

The long-time CHCH television reporter has passed away at the age of 47, following a long and courageous battle with throat cancer.

Randy was 47.  He is survived by his wife Maggie and four daughters.        Tributes on his Facebook page remember a "gentle artistic spirit" and an "amazing talent".   CHCH News Director Mike Katrycz  adds that Randy was able to tell both the "hard stories" and the "people stories".  Many viewers will remember him for the Steele Town series. A memorial service is being planned for June.6th at Centenary United Church in downtown Hamilton.
