Hamilton Police seek public’s assistance in identifying sex offence suspect

The Hamilton Police Service Sexual Assault Unit is investigating a sexual offence that happened in the basement laundry room of an apartment building located at 380 Cochrane Road Hamilton on Sunday January 18th at approximately 4:30 p.m.

The victim had just completed doing her laundry in the basement laundry room of her apartment building. The suspect approached the victim from behind and proceeded to physically constrain and sexually assault her.  The victim successfully struggled and escaped. It is believed that the suspect may have gained access to the apartment building via an insecure entry door. 

The Hamilton Police are appealing to the public for information that may lead to the identification of the suspect.
