Women's roller derby league holding boot camp

The Hammer City Roller Girls are looking for a few good (and tough) women.

The league is holding a boot camp class and on-skates recruitment night Wednesday for any women interested in learning more about the sport of roller derby.

HCRG fan favourites will be at the rink to give one-on-one instruction.

The boot camp is May 20 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Rosedale Arena, 100 Greenhill Ave.

Cost is $15 for insurance (unless you have RSC insurance). It is open to females 18 and older.

What you need to bring: skates (quad roller skates preferred, inlines are OK - just this once!), helmet, knee pads, wrist guards, elbow pads and mouth guard.
