The OPP have charged a 27-year-old Ohsweken man with mischief for his alleged part in a six-day blockade of the Highway 6 Caledonia bypass in April last year.
OPP Constable Paula Wright said the man, arrested Monday, appeared in Cayuga court yesterday morning and was remanded until today for a bail hearing.
More than 100 Six Nations residents forced the closure of the Highway 6 bypass at Caledonia on May 25, 2008 to protest OPP action against Mohawks occupying a quarry near Deseronto, Ont., earlier in the day.
