Power outage hits the Meadowlands

About 47-hundred homes and businesses in the Meadowlands are in the dark.

Hydro One officials are working on a power outage, which may have been caused by a lightning strike.

The outage is creating big delays for motorists with Hamilton Police on point duty at several intersections.

48-hundred customers were without power in St. Catharines earlier this morning after a tree came down on power lines.
