Ex-cop faces 47 criminal charges

A retired top Hamilton police official is facing 47 charges related to breach of trust and fraud while he was a member of the Hamilton Police Service.

Charged is Rick Wills, a former inspector who was head of Hamilton's investigative services before his retirement following 26 years with city  police.

The charges are the result of a seven-month investigation conducted by the OPP's Criminal Investigation Branch, at the request of Hamilton police.
