Road-rage driver forces family off road

NIAGARA-ON-THE-LAKE – Police have turned to the public for help finding  a black sedan which ran a family’s SUV off the road causing to roll over twice in a ditch Sunday.

The incident Niagara police are calling road rage occurred on Stewart Road just south of Lakeshore Road Sunday at 2:40 p.m.

Police said a man and woman and three small children were southbound in their grey Chevy Trailblazer on Stewart Road north of Lakeshore road when a newer, black Ford 500 or Ford Fusion reversed out of the driveway of a business.

“The black Ford accelerated quickly and pulled up beside the Trailblazer and swerved, striking the driver’s side,” a police spokesperson said. 

“The Trailblazer lost control, hit the gravel shoulder and struck a  culvert causing it to flip several times.”
