Frost warning for Hamilton area

A frosty surprise this morning left many motorists across Hamilton scraping windshields.

A special weather warning issued for Hamilton, Halton , Haldimand, Norfolk and Niagara at 4 a.m. Monday posts a frost warning for much of southern Ontario again tonight and tomorrow morning.

This is because at or near zero ground temperatures and clear skies overnight will cause frost in the parts of these regions. 

The cold snap follows a much cooler Arctic air mass moving into souther Ontario behind a cold front that passed through Sunday.

Anyone who helped mom put her tender plants in the garden for Mother’s Day might to go back and cover them tonight.
