There's some work to be done at Hamilton's Henderson Hospital.
Statistics published on-line by the province's Ministry of Health show that employees at the mountain hospital are falling well short of the provincial average for hand-hygiene compliance.
Specifically, they washed their hands before and after every contact with a patient only 35% of the time during the past year.
Other local hospitals are within a few percentage points of the provincial average, which is 62%.
Burlington's Joe Brant however, which made the issue a priority in the wake of a deadly C. difficle outbreak, reached almost 80% compliance.
