Man charged in Brantford homicide 

Charges have been laid against a 54-year-old man for the first homicide of the year in Brantford.

The body of 59-year-old Gary Donato was found Saturday inside his apartment.

Brantford police made the discovery after provincial police asked them to follow up on a suspected suicide in a house owned by the man.
