The determination of an eight-year-old boy will change his McQuesten neighbourhood for the better.
Thanks to a petition Tyler Appleby started of his own volition last year, his housing complex will have a playground as of June 6.
The park will be named in honour of Mark Graham, a Canadian soldier and Hamilton native who was killed in Afghanistan in 2006.
Appleby lives in Oriole Two, a housing complex near Parkdale Avenue North and Barton Street East. Oriole One got a playground in the summer of 2007. But parents of kids from Oriole Two don't want them crossing the road to play where they can't see them.
