The victim of Edmonton's 10th homicide of the year as a 20-year-old Hamilton man. The body of Mohamed Farah Khalif was discovered abandoned in long grass and gooseberry bushes along a trail in Hermitage Park on the northeast side of Edmonton, north of the Yellowhead Highway near the North Saskatchewan River, early Sunday morning. Khalif's body was found around 5:30 a.m. An autopsy is scheduled today. Edmonton police arrested two men later the same day in what has been reported as a high-risk takedown in traffic by tactical officers using stun grenades. Khalif and the two suspects are known to each other, but police would not say how. They have also declined to comment on whether this case links to past homicide cases, in which four Somali men were killed.
