A pair of downtown bouncers did a double-take Saturday when a loaded .40 calibre pistol fell out of a patron’s pants.Police say the guns safety was on and it did not go off.Police said the incident occurred as bar staff at the Dirty Dog, on King William Street, were checking patrons as they entered just before 2 a.m..One man they went to check pulled away in an attempt to avoid being searched. Bouncers spotted what they thought was the butt of a handgun in his waistband.They grabbed him and the gun clattered on the floor. They held on tighter and called police.
