Twelve hundred Hamilton police members are shifting from blue to green - to help the planet.The force is using Earth Day to launch a concerted push to beef up its eco-responsibility by reducing its environmental footprint by 10 per cent.Better recycling is at the forefront, said Inspector Scott Rastin.“We discovered that we are very poor in recycling and what we thought we were recycling was actually contaminated and going into the garbage.”
