Cross-Canada scammer hit sick kids' families - Arrested at Hamilton's Ronald McDonald House

A woman wanted in a cross-Canada Ronald McDonald House scam has been arrested in Hamilton.

Police say the 34-year-old woman has moved from city to city, befriending the families of critically ill children and then stealing from them.

She turned up at the Hamilton house Monday with a baby and begged to be let in.

“She had a 17-day-old infant with her and told the staff it was sick,” said acting Sergeant Michelle Moore this morning.
