Poverty Snapshot Offers Mixed News 

Some good news and some bad news, within the latest poverty snapshot in Hamilton.

The good news is that the local poverty rate among seniors has fallen from 24% in 2000 to 16% in 2005, thanks to greater awareness about the availability of a pair of government support programs.
