ArcelorMittal lays off 80 at former Stelwire

ArcelorMittal has laid off about 80 workers at its Hamilton wire plant as the global downturn continues to hammer local steel producers.

ArcelorMittal Hamilton East, formerly Stelwire, is Canada’s largest producer of wire products for the automotive and construction industries.
