Green whiz kid simplifies recycling - Input led city to change website setup

"Recycle right" is Adrian Hucal's message to Hamiltonians.

The 10-year-old sixth-grader at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Elementary School was surprised to discover that 76 per cent of the neighbours he surveyed didn't know the rules for what does and doesn't go in a blue box.

He doesn't blame them, saying he called City Hall, then checked the city website and "They gave me all these different rules. I was totally confused. To reach the goal of diverting 65 per cent of all waste from landfill, you have to do something about that."
