Community groups offer free Christmas meals

For those who don't have a place to celebrate Christmas Day, some Hamilton missions and community services are hosting free Christmas meals.

Notre Dame House

What: Christmas brunch, dinner

When: 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Where: 14 Cannon St. W.

Who: Youth from 16 to 21

Salvation Army Booth Centre, Men's Hostel

What: Christmas lunches

When: 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

Where: 94 York Blvd.

Who: Open to the public. Drop by to register first.

East Plains United Church

(Burlington)

What: Christmas dinner

When: 5 p.m.

Where: 375 Plains Rd. E.

Who: Open to the public. Call 905-681-3088 to register.

Wesley Urban Ministries

What: Christmas Eve buffet, Christmas Day breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack

When: Christmas Eve buffet, 8 to 9 p.m.; Christmas breakfast, 8 to 9 a.m.; Christmas dinner, 1 to 2 p.m.; Christmas soup and sandwiches, 7 to 8 p.m.

Where: 195 Ferguson Ave. N.

Who: Open to the public.
