War of 1812 soldiers bodies to be moved

Remains of soldiers from the War of 1812 may finally be exhumed and reburied near Battlefield Park in Stoney Creek.

Hamilton councillors will spend up to 30-thousand dollars to come up with a strategy to remove more remains from the Smith's Knoll archeological dig.

In the late 1990s, 24 bodies were recovered during excavations across the street from Stoney Creek Battlefield Park.
